Went to his eternal home on Wednesday, April 5, 2023. He was 74 years old. Visitation will be held at Seale Funeral Home, in Denham Springs, on Wednesday, April 12, 2023 from 9am until Celebration of Lifer Service at 11am conducted By Rev. Danny Carter.     I will miss his “where ya’ at baby” when walking by his tables at the many gun shows we attended over the years. Jessie, what a gift he was and how fortunate you were work with and learn from this very good man. RIP James!

    Very sorry to hear the passing of Mr. Holmes. I was shocked to hear as I had just saw and visited with him in Tulsa. Will be missed.

    It is with deep regret that I learned of the passing of James Holmes. It was always good to visit with him at gunshows. And he always had good and interesting items on his tables. He will be sorely missed.

    We will never have all the answers but we do know that God is always in control.
    Praying for God to give Shirley, his loving children, all his grands the peace and comfort that only God can give. Jimmy will be missed!

    I enjoyed the times I ran into James at the local gun shows. He was always upbeat and pleasant company. May God rest his soul and bring comfort to his family at this time of loss.

    James “Rooster Cogburn” Holmes will be missed greatly! What a great friend and co-worker at all the gun shows. A very loving man who always had a kind word. So sorry for your loss Jesse and your family.

    I have many fond memories talking to James at the gun shows. James was well liked and always had a smile and some good advice for all his many friends! May God have mercy on his soul and let perpetual light shine upon him.

    I am shocked and saddened at the news of Jame’s passing. I always enjoyed seeing James and Jesse at the TGCA shows. They were great. James will certainly be missed and my sincere condolences go out to his family. God bless.

    John and I are so saddened by the news of James passing. He was such a kind, sweet, loving man, always such a gentleman. We always looked forward to seeing him and we will truly miss him. Our prayers and heartfelt condolences for the family, especially Jesse.
