Bonnie Jean Jones, was born in McAdams, Mississippi on July 3, 1936 and a resident of Baton Rouge since 1953. She graduated from Baker High School and attended LSU. She was a realtor for 30 years, most of those years with C.J. Brown Realtors. Bonnie was definitely a people person and was acquainted with a variety of people. In her different employments, many of the acquaintances were a part of Baton Rouge history, of which several of the employers were descendants. She learned more about Baton Rouge by being personally involved in some of their family activities, thereby gaining information. Once she had that knowledge, she researched to gain additional information regarding Baton Rouge in previous decades. She gained many lasting acquaintances as a Realtor.

She is survived by nephews, James M. Spain (Jean) and Michael R. Sanders (Victor). She is survived by niece, Pamela Carmichael (Joe). She is also survived by 5 great nieces, 3 great nephews and 8 great-great nieces and nephews. Also, she is survived by her dearest friends Ray Acardo, Presley Hutchinson and Fran Richardson.

Preceded in death was her wife, Ronda Beale; her parents, Mary Lee and Philip Jones; sisters, Helen Sanders and Verna Spain, and nephews, P. Louis Sanders MD and Rev. Philip Sidney Spain.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to an organization of your choice that provides food and clothing to children in East Baton Rouge Parish.

A celebration of Bonnie’s life is pending through Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs. Please check back for updates to date and time of services.
