Rudy Vallie Minson, Sr., born November 29, 1934 in Oklahoma to William Taylor and Ruby McClure Minson, entered into glory on June 5, 2023 at his home surrounded by his family in Maurepas, Louisiana. He was a member of Local 198 Plumbers and Pipefitters Union for 48 years. Left behind to cherish his memory are his children Terry, Mickey, Rudy Jr., Michael, Tracy, Amy, and Mitchell; 22 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren, 9 great-great-grandchildren, and sister Mae Barton. Preceded in death by wives Gayle Ann and Mary Minson, both parents, brothers Dorsey, Dale, WT., Murle Ray and Darrell Minson, twin sister Ruby Minson Mills, son Randall “Randy” Taylor Minson and grandson Clay Taylor Minson. Visitation will be at Seale Funeral Home in Denham Springs, LA from 1-3 pm on Sunday, June 11, 2023 followed by the service at 3 pm. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park. Rest in peace, Uncle Rudy. Whether it was visiting Twilight Beach, getting spun or flipped in the yard, shooting pool at Grandpa’s house, taking turns sitting on the ice cream makers, spitting seed and busting watermelon rinds over each others’ heads, the times our families spent together are what made our childhoods happy and precious.
