Onita Gayle Sons Coco left this world at 9:30 AM June 11, 2023. She suffered over a year with the horrible disease of ALS. She is survived by her partner of 25 years Doni Rodriguez, her daughter and spouse Tatia Coco Broussard and Remy, son Dub Coco, son James Coco and wife Stephanie. She is also survived by her sister, Shelia Levisee, and brother Beau Johnston, sister Connie Cardinale, sister Annetta Adams. She had many grandchildren and great grandchildren that she loved with all her heart. She was preceded by father, Gus Sons, mother Onita Knapp Johnston, sister Patricia Sons Lanier, Brother Gus Sons, Jr., nephew, Carl Lanier, and brother in law Buddy Levisee. Memorial service will be at 1:00PM with visitation starting at 12:00PM at Higher Destiny Church on June 24th. in Denham Springs, La. 600 Florida Avenue SW. Burial will be at Manning Cemetery in Catahoula Parish, at 11 a.m., Saturday, July 22, 2023.

I love you! I’m sad you’re gone but thankful that you are no longer suffering and you are free and in the arms of Jesus. I know you are with all the people that we lost and loved and we have missed so deeply. Doni is hurting but I promised you we would take care of her and we will. We will all honor everything you wanted. There will forever be a void in my life Aunt Gayle and I’ll be seeing you one day. Until then get your rest lady you earned it. ❤️
