Beverly passed away Saturday, June 17, 2023 at her home in Watson at the age of 94. She was born in Shreveport, Louisiana on July 11, 1928. She was the daughter of George A. “G.B.” and Mary Jane Bridgers. Beverly met Dawes, the love of her life, and loved telling the story of how they met and were meant to be together, even though he was wearing “that horrible orange colored cowboy shirt”. Life was very busy for Beverly with Dawes, raising their children, cooking, antiquing, hosting parties, all while being a full-time bookkeeper for their business. She loved to laugh and always made sure other did so. Later in life she filled her days with visiting and hosting family get togethers, reading, trips to the casino and dared anyone to interrupt her while watching Wheel of Fortune. Visitation will be held at Seale Funeral Home in Denham Springs on Wednesday, June 21, 2023 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM and again on Thursday, June 22, 2023 from 9:00 AM until religious services at 11:00 AM in the funeral home chapel conducted by Rev. Dickie Davis. Burial will follow in Denham Springs Memorial Cemetery next to her loving husband, Dawes. She is survived by her children, David G. Easterly, Dawes K. Easterly, Bruce R. Easterly (Susan) and Jane Ola Easterly Achord (Willie); grandchildren, Bruce W. Easterly, Dawes L. Easterly, Dama C. Easterly, Erica Easterly, Stephanie Easterly, Holly Easterly, Toby Easterly, Ashlee Achord Graves, Chelsea Easterly Mitchell, Karrie Easterly and Courtney Easterly and numerous great-grandchildren; brother, Z. Ross Bridgers; sisters-in-law, Leslye Hoffpauir Bridgers and Doris Easterly Chavers and numerous other close friends and family, loving caregivers, Linda Taylor, Amanda Perry and Connie Duffy, healthcare and hospice providers. Special thanks to the wonderful staff at Bridgeway Healthcare and Hospice of Baton Rouge. Pallbearers will be Bruce W., Luke and Toby Easterly, Terry, Jon and Steven Bridgers. Honorary pallbearers will be Ricky and Chris Bridgers. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, R. Dawes Easterly; son, R. Paul Easterly, II; parents, George A. and Mary Jane Bridgers; siblings, George “Buddy” A. Bridgers, II and Kenneth R. Bridgers; other relatives, Harry K. Oliphint (Anna); numerous aunts, uncles and others; close friends, Thomas L. “Pops” Sullivan, Sr. (Marie Louise “Weezie”. Please sign our online registry book.

      My memories of this wonderful lady and all she and Mr. Dawes did for me in my life time will always be a blessing. As her family grew her love grew. She was truly a good friend.     I love my Aunt Bev she was the most Giving person I know ! She financially supported & inspired me to write a book & movie honoring my only son Eric after his amazing fight against a rare bone cancer & panting his journey while learning about so many life lessons & living in the Now! Our “Precious Present” She made sure her children & I shared time during our childhoods so we could know our families & know the true gift of Life! I will be forever Grateful for so many memories together, but her Givings will never ends with our non profit make a wish foundation, Make My Day Hawaii & it’s mission Save the Music & Arts for the young, & all has healed me with our faith as Believers Rest in Peace forever Love ❤️ Auntie

    You were and are so loved. I’m so blessed to have known you my whole life and call you Aunt. I came to see you the day before you passed and held your hand and talked to you for a good 10-15 mins. You were so feisty but so loving at the same time. I love you aunt beve and you will be so missed. Rest in peace
