Ruiz, Rudy

Ma16, 1995 – July 6, 2023

Rudy was born in Loxahatchee, Florida on  May 16th, 1995. He and his older sister, Ashley were joined by another sister only 15 months later. Rudy and Taylor spent their childhood thick as thieves, roaming the family property in Royal Palm Beach with Ashley keeping a close eye on the two while reading under a nearby tree. Growing up, Rudy’s days were filled with all sorts of motorized fun – chasing his sisters on four-wheelers and go-carts. Even at a young age, Rudy was beyond his years and followed in his father’s mechanical footsteps. His father was a Viper/Diesel mechanic, so placing a governor on the go-cart Rudy enjoyed was a quick job. What Dad didn’t know was that Rudy would also make quick work of adjusting said governor to make that go-cart go just a little bit faster. He later lived up to his father’s legacy becoming a diesel mechanic himself, always having a mechanical project in the works.

Rudy lived his life in the pursuit of joy, lighting up rooms with his infectious lopsided grin. It was hard to stay mad at him when he cracked a joke and shot you that smirk that we all remember so well. Despite his jokes, the most indisputable source of joy Rudy brought to this world lives on in the faces of his three children – Isabel, Wesson, and Harley. Like his father before him, Rudy had a way with his babies who all adored him. Our hearts mourn for the memories they will miss with his untimely departure from us, however he will live on forever in our family’s hearts. Rudy’s children will always know how beloved they were by their father.

Rudy was predeceased in death by his father, Rodolfo Ruiz and maternal great-grandparents Delfina Landman and Herman Posada. He is survived by his mother, Melissa; three children, Isabel, Wesson, and Harley; sisters Ashley and Taylor; stepfather Matthew; nieces Amelia and Sophia and nephew Beaux; partner Victoria; maternal grandmother Teresa Perez; paternal grandparents Neida and Jose Manuel Ruiz and an extensive family of aunts, uncles, cousins and family friends who will always hold him in their heart.

A memorial service will take place on Monday, July 10th, 2023 at Seale Funeral Home in Denham Springs, at 5pm with viewing immediately following until 8pm.
