Phillip Paul Paternostro, 54, of Baton Rouge, LA, went to be with his Lord and Savior on the 21st of August, 2023.   Phillip was a loving husband, father, son and friend to many.

Phillip was a graduate of Redemptorist High School and Southeastern Louisiana University.  He was a licensed respiratory therapist, a certified appraiser, and achieved the rank of Captain with the Baton Rouge Fire Department where he worked for over 23 years.

Phillip is survived by his wife of seven  years, Lisa Battistella Paternostro his mother, Lula Paternostro, his two children, Madelyn (Maddie) Cannizzaro and husband, Joseph Cannizzaro, and Jack Paternostro.

He is preceded in death by his father, Louis Paternostro, Jr., and his brother, Eddie James Paternostro.

Visitation will be held at Istrouma Baptist church on Monday, August 28, 2023 from 5:00pm until 9:00pm. Visitation on Tuesday will resume at 9:0am. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am.

    I had the privilege and honor of being Phillips friend and a Coach of his Redemptorist Baseball Team. He was always very competitive and a Team player but also had a kind heart and would always make you laugh. He will be missed but will always be remembered by his Teammates and friends. Dick Hicks
