Freddie Fossier, Jr., 85 years old, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on October 6, 2023, at 12:21am. Freddie was born on December 26, 1937, to Freddie Fossier, Sr., and Margie Oubre Fossier, in Reserve, Louisiana, and grew up there and in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He joined the U.S. Navy at 18 years old, and served for five years. Freddie married the love of his life, Barbara Bello, on September 26, 1959, and remained faithful to her and his vows for 54 years until her death in 2013. After discharging from the military, Freddie continued diligently working to provide for his growing family, finally settling at Star Service, Inc. in 1964. He worked there for 40 years until his retirement in 2004. Freddie loved cooking, was a jack of all trades, and treasured time spent with his family. He is survived by his sisters, Diane Webber and Glenda Paddie, six children, Theresa Fossier Turner, Sandra Fossier Francois, Brenda Fossier Templet, Freddie Fossier III, Janice Fossier Chidester, and Charles Fossier, their spouses, fifteen grandchildren, thirty-seven great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Fossier, father, Freddie Fossier, Sr., mother, Margie Oubre Fossier, sister, Judy Bergeron, brother, Ronald Fossier, sister Leona Hodges, and sister, Marjorie Owens. There will be a visitation held on Friday, October 13, 2023, at Seale Funeral Home in Denham Springs from 8am to 9pm. Visitation will resume on Saturday, October 14, 2023 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church from 8:30 am until religious services at 10am. Interment will be at Greenoaks Memorial Park following the service.
