On Oct 9, 2023 Linda Fern Walden passed away. I’ll add peacefully because just the day before she passed she boasted that she had spent time on Venus and Mars before returning to Earth, ..with her playful grin. Linda was born on Oct 12, 1942 in Waldo, Ark under the sign of Libra. She loved life, animals and education. She married Jake Walden in her early 20s and they shared simple yet bold life. They loved deep sea fishing, raising horses and dogs. Linda was an accomplished rodeo queen, passionate about antiques – buying and selling. And conquered the lost and tedious art of clock repair
She graduated college from Southeastern University with a Masters in Education. She taught Special Education students and 3rd graders at SLU University Lab School. And she received awards numerous times as Teacher of Year. After Jake died, Linda met Dave Thibodeaux and began a new life. Their love and companionship included travel and horticulture. Nature and gardening became a new passion and the simplicity of their lives near the Pierces developed a sense of peace and harmony. Linda will be missed by all who knew her. A gathering will be held at Seale Funeral Home, in Denham Springs on Sunday, October 15, 2023 from 2pm until Celebration of Life Service at 3pm. Burial Will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park.
