2023ObituariesThomas J. Ard, III

October 24, 2023by SealeUser12

Thomas J Ard III was born 10/25/63 in Baton Rouge, La and gained his wings on 10/23/23 at the age of 59.  He was a graduate of Glen Oaks High School and a resident of Watson, La.  He was a Dedicated Employee of Petroleum Service Corporation for 32 years.

Thomas touched many lives throughout his 59 years on this earth.  He was loved by many, dis-liked by few, but always made the right decision even if it was hard.  He never met a stranger and had a deep respect for men and woman who served in the military in admiration for his father who was a US Navy Veteran in World War II, as well as, a US Air Force Veteran of the Korean War.  He was a great leader and mentor to many whom have worked with him and have become successful leaders within the company.  He was a loving and faithful husband, a good father and true friend to those that were close to him.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Stephanie Scioneaux Ard, Brother, Benjamin H. Ard, Sister in Law, Rhonda Ard, Daughter, Anna M. Ard, Son, Andrew T. Ard, Daughter in law, Chantel Ard, Step Son, Corey M Roth, Daughter in Law, Lauren B Roth, Niece, Jamie A. Owen, Nephew, James Eskins, three grandchildren, Talyn Carter, Karysn Ard, Paige Roth and his Beloved Fur baby Mollie Rae Ard.

He was proceeded in death by his Father, Thomas J Ard, Jr., his mother, Francis “Priss” Rish Ard and his sister, Mary B. Ard.

We would like to acknowledge that Thomas was an organ donor through the LOPA program which through his gifts will help save lives of others and enable them to live a more fulfilling life.  In lieu of flowers, or monetary gifts, the family is requesting, and would be deeply honored, If donations in Thomas’s memory can be made to this foundation.  Details can be found on “Lopa.org”

I would like to extend our family’s gratitude and appreciation to the ICU staff at Ochsner Hospital on O’Neal Lane.  They’re dedication to patient care and compassion for the family was outstanding and their support helped us to get through this very difficult time.

Services for the public will be held at Seale Funeral Home in Denham Springs, La on Thursday, 10/26/23 from 5pm-8pm with services being conducted by Chad Lacost.  A private burial service will be held at a later date.

Thomas was a “one in a million” neighbor and a great friend to the Ruppert Family. There was nothing that he wouldn’t do for his true friends. If you were one of them you knew it and if you weren’t, you knew it too. The man was a special individual with a great deal of love in his heart for those he cared for. We have so many fond memories of our times spent together with Thomas and his amazing wife Stephanie, that we’ll relish and retell often to keep his spirit alive in our hearts and souls.

    Rest in peace, Thomas!
    Love the Rupperts

Steph I am so sorry to hear this. In this struggle lean on your faith and read the 23rd psalm. It has always comforted me in grief. Reach out if there is anything my family can do
