Ronald Gene David Sr. passed away peacefully of natural causes in the early morning hours of November 5th, 2023 at the age of 87, in Fort Myers, Florida. He was a wonderful father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle and friend who believed strongly in his catholic religion.
Ronald lived with his son Ronald Gene David Jr. and his daughter in law Sandra Lopez Mora in Cape Coral Florida for the last 2 years as they took immaculate care of him in his final years. He spent a large portion of his life working as a production operator for Shell Oil Company where he retired in 1992. His friends and family are left with many fond memories of gathering at his home to eat delicious Cajun food, watching many New Orleans Saints football games, and admiring the hard work he put into his landscaping and gardening.
Ronald is survived by his 2 sons, Ronald Gene David Jr. and wife Sandra Lopez Mora, and Gregory David, his granddaughter Ronni Lynn David, great granddaughter Kaydence Faye David, his sister Carmelita Formby and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his Father Andrew Hypolite David, Mother Maggie Rose David, sister Jackie Bordelon, his beloved wife of 53 years, Faye David, and their two dogs Enzo and Zoey-Lynn.
A memorial service will be held December 3rd, 2023, at Seale Funeral Home in Denham Springs. Visitation will begin at 9am with a public service beginning at 10am. A burial will follow at Salem Cemetery.
