And the good Lord called and said, Janice, it’s time to come home.  After a long battle with cancer, she is no longer in pain. Janice Faye Hutchinson passed away on Sunday, December 24, 2023 at her home in Denham Springs, Louisiana. Janice was born December 21, 1951 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. After graduating from Glen Oaks High School in 1969, she worked at the Baton Rouge General and Woman’s Hospital for a few years before taking a job at the LA DOTD and eventually retiring. Janice is survived by her husband of 54 years, Roy Hutchinson, Sr. and their two children, Roy Hutchinson, Jr. and Kimberly Frazee (Chance). She is also survived by her four grandsons, Christopher (Lauren), Jacob (Danielle) Hutchinson, Bryce and Brody Frazee, and a great-granddaughter Harper Layne Hutchinson. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Brinda Olivier and brother-in-law James Hutchinson (Annette). She was preceded in death by her parents Bill an Alfreda Harris, sister and brother-in-law Maryann and Alvin Gros, and her best friend Ann Nickroo. We want to say a heartfelt thanks to the wonderful staff at Foundations Hospice for their wonderful assistance in our time of need, Jenna, Phil, Caroline, Stephanie and such a special person, Ms “T”, also not enough words are there for our nephew, Leroy Gros, who gave up nearly two months of his life to be with her day and night, seven days a week. A special thanks is also given to her best friend Trudy Dupuy, for her support and assistance. Visitation will be held at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs on Thursday, December 28, 2023 beginning at 9:00am. Funeral services will be held at 11:30am.     Roy, my deepest and sincere sympathy is with you and your family. I’m so sorry for your loss. May God be your strength through this most difficult time. My prayers are with you and your family. May Janice rest in eternal peace.

    Thinking of all of you today! Janice was such a wonderful friend to my sister and our family. She often came visit us with Telettte, and was always so kind!! Remember visiting and spending time with y’all at False River camp, always a good time! We were blessed to have her in lives, know she is free of pain now and celebrating in heaven with Mrs Harris and all family and friends!! Keeping family in our prayers, love ya’ll! ❤️

    Roy , I have not seen you and Janice in probably 40 years or more. I’m sorry to read Janice has passed , I knew the name when I saw her obituary. Janice was so funny , always had me laughing and we thought we were so cool riding in your Camaro , so many memories of Janice , you and her family , just a fun loving family. Prays for you and your children , sending much love.
