Aunt Shirley you and uncle Elton were there for me at the lowest point in my life. There was no judgment just love and acceptance. You will always have a very special place in my heart. I love you dearly and will miss you until my last day here on earth.

Aunt Shirley you willl be missed by so many . You and Uncle Elton have always been wherever a need arose. You always told me you prayed every night for our entire family . You were a true example of a Christian woman . I’ll never forget the many weeks of staying with y’all . Especially the time took Jenny and I to Elvis Presley’s . So many great memories.

You were one of a kind, a true example of a Christian woman living out her faith. You touched more lives than you ever could have known. We will never forget the weekends we spent together in Baton Rouge, the trips we took together, the many game nights in Melville, the countless birthday parties and basketball games y’all came to for Matthew & Ellorie, all of the birthday and anniversary texts and especially those saying you were praying for us. We love you so much and you will always be in our hearts. Our loss is Heavens gain. Thank you for loving us and being such a beautiful example.

My beautiful sister I will miss you so much. I will miss our Saturday morning phone calls and our occasional Sunday morning greetings. You were a blessing and an inspiration to me. Family meant so much to you. I am so glad we had our family reunion in October and you were able to be there with us. We didn’t know that would be the last one you would attend here with us. You were so happy to see everyone. I love you so very much. Thank you for spoiling me. Our signature sign off has always been.
    Love & Prayers
Your baby sister (a family joke)
