Joyce Lucille Sterba Crouch Lockwood, age 83, passed away on January 30, 2024. Joyce retired from Hibernia National Bank. She belonged to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and like to count cross stitch, read, and was an original member of the committed adorers at ICC Adoration Chapel. Joyce is survived by her daughters, Sherry Leger (Don), Wanda Koch (Frank), Gayle Moonshower-Ducote (Dennis), Lavone Baham, Jennifer Rogers (Robert); 14 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren. She also leaves behind four brothers, Donald (Carol), Ralph (Cheryl), Wayne, Mike (Gina). Joyce is preceded in death by her first husband, Luke Crouch and by her second husband, Carl Lockwood; parents, George and Byrle Sterba. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to ICC building fund or the Baton Rouge Food Bank. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the nurses and CNAs at the 800 Nurses Station at Golden Age Nursing Home. A visitation will be held on Friday, February 9, 2024 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church from 10:00am – 12:00pm with a Mass of Christian Burial to begin at 12:00pm. Burial will immediately follow at Denham Springs Memorial Cemetery.

My Sympathy and prayers to you Sherry and Don and all your family. Joyce was a special friend a special lady. We worked together in banking for many years I recall each and every day we had some small lil chats. She was always smiling. My deepest condolences to Joyce’s family. I worked with her at Hibernia for 20 years and she was a jewel to behold. Always a smile, always giving comforting advice, always a joy to be around, hence her name. She will be greatly missed but she left so many great memories.
