August 29, 1956 ~ February 3, 2024

John Fergus Graham (Pops, Ruepaw, Mr. Gus, Johnny Ringo, to name a few), passed away peacefully February 3, 2024. John was a lifelong resident of Baton Rouge, LA, born August 29th, 1956. Preceded in death by his parents Richard & Shirley Graham, and his best friend and brother Clifton Graham.

John is survived by his two sons: John David (Ashley), Scott, and beloved grandson William David. Former wife, the love of his life and mother of his children Celeste Graham. Brothers Dennis (Sherri), Henry (Connie), Andrew (Pam), Michael (Carolyn), sisters Colleen (Paul) Kron, Theresa (Don) Detillier, and sister-in-law Charlene Graham. Numerous nieces and nephews each held a special place in his heart.

John believed in hard work and being dedicated to whatever he did each day. This showed by the empathy shown to so many customers /employees whom John served, worked with, and mentored in a career that spanned over 50 years in the restaurant industry.

As a child, John spent many hours at the LSU creamery and selling ice cream at Parker Coliseum while watching Pistol Pete, memories of his child hood that were held dearly by him.

John’s fondest memories were times spent with his boys and grandson. When John wasn’t cheering on the Tigers or serving people, he could be found fixing something or tending to his manicured lawn.

John was a hall of fame utility player, he did it all for everyone wherever he was needed. Go rest high in that Western sky, until we meet again. Please sign the online guestbook at www.sealefuneral.com

John was my manager when I worked at Taco Bell in Hammond La while I was going to college. He helped me become an assistant manager at the location and we became good friends as well during that time. Although we lost touch over the years as I moved out of state and into a different career we still occasionally talked on FB. Great man and mentor to me during my early adult years. Rest Easy John and you’ll be missed.

I have known John for over half of my life. The memories are so many, and with loads of laughter. My favorite memory is when John became a father to both John David and Scott. He had such pride and love for his sons. To my nephews, your dad was one of a kind and he will be missed.
