Charlotte Ann Watts Jones Obituary

 

November 4, 1939 – March 5, 2024

 

 

Charlotte Ann Watts Jones, age 84, passed away on Tuesday, March 5, 2024. She was a native and resident of Central, Louisiana. She graduated from Central High School, class of 1956. Upon graduation she began her 42 year long career at ExxonMobil where she served as a key punch operator and payroll administrator. She competed in the Miss Esso beauty competition and won, then toured with actress and singer, Donna Douglas. She loved music, playing the piano, and singing. After retirement, she found her passion as a homemaker. You would often find her cooking, chasing after her grandchildren, and attending their sports games. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She loved spending time with her family and friends and found joy in entertaining for the masses.

She is survived by her son Jeffery David Jones, and his wife Kelly Stewart Jones. She had three grandchildren: Cole Mitchell Foreman, and his spouse Brittney Comeaux Foreman, Mackenzie Claire Foreman, and Luke David Jones. She had two great-grandchildren: Fynn William Foreman and Hazel Marie Foreman.  Charlotte is preceded in death by her parents, William Cyril Watts and Hazel Noble Watts; her loving spouse, David Wallace Jones; and her beautiful daughter, Dana Marie Jones Foreman St. Romain. Pallbearers will be: Chuck Bardwell, Rusty Browning, Kevin Middleton, Mike Pouciau, Pierre Rizan, Beau Schlatre, and Troy Turner. The family extends a heartfelt thank you to her caretakers: Joyce Carmena, Wanda Gray, Tasha George, Alesia Moses, Marion Sanders, Amanda Westmore, Alice Wilson, and a special thank you to Shaneka Johnson. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a visitation at Zoar Baptist Church in Central, 11848 Hooper Road, Baton Rouge, LA 70818, on Tuesday, March 12, 2024 from 9:00 am until the Funeral Service at 11:00 am. Pastor Glen Miers will officiate. Burial will proceed after service. Condolences and other information may be found at www.sealefuneral.com.
