Kenneth Charles Tidwell

March 19, 1959-March 18, 2024

Kenneth Charles Tidwell, “Kenny”, passed away on Monday, March 18, 2024 at the age of 64 after a lengthy battle with cancer. He was a graduate of Greensburg High School and a long-time resident of Livingston, Louisiana. Kenny’s vibrant personality was well known among his community. He rarely met a stranger. He had a tremendous love for the outdoors and enjoyed sharing his hunting and fishing stories with anyone who wanted to listen. He found solitude at his cabin in Amite, a place that refreshed him. Kenny’s greatest joy in life came from spending time together with his family, especially his five beautiful grandchildren.

Kenny is survived by his wife of 40 years, Vanda Rogers Tidwell; children, Bradley Ficklin (Annie) and Jena Jones (Chase); special aunt, Bernice Cade; grandchildren, Isabella Collins, Eli Ficklin, Kevyn Ficklin, Hadley Jones, and Berkley Jones. He is preceded in death by his mother, Mary Jean Pilgrim; father, Charles Cleborn Tidwell; sister, Donna Tidwell Manalli; brother, Roger “Cooney” Tidwell.

Visitation will be held at Seale Funeral Home in Livingston, Louisiana on Friday, March 22, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. until services at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Laverne King officiating. A burial will follow at Gateway Gardens Cemetery. Pallbearers are Cody Fairburn, Conner Fairburn, Tyren Fairburn, Cory Cade, Chase Cade, David Cade, James Tidwell, and Danny Paul Duffy. Honorary pallbearers are Chuck Hayes, Steve Hohensee, and Bobby Cade.

Special thanks to Dr. Vincent Cataldo and Dustin Denicola, NP at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital.

So sorry for your loss. Kenny and I went to elementary school together in Greensburg. I knew his dad, Little Red and Jimmy well.

I had the pleasure of working with Kenny (K.T.) at Itc for many years. He was a great guy. He will be missed. Many prayers to Vanda and all his kids and grand kids.

Kenny was a good man and a wonderful brother-in-law. He made me feel like one of the family from the time that I met him. He mostly called me “brother-in-law”, which I really liked. Kenny will be greatly missed by me and so many others and I pray for strength and peace for the family.
