It is with profound sadness that we announce the going home of a precious woman, Renee Faith McMillin. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to many.
She was born on January 10, 1963 in Tampa Bay, Florida. She grew up and attended schools in that area. She moved to Baton Rouge in 1986 to live with her sister after the passing of their mother. Renee married David R. McMillin on Feb 5, 1988. They moved to Springfield, Missouri where he attended Assemblies of God Seminary. They returned to Baton Rouge in 1991. When her son Christian was born in 1995, Renee became a full-time mother. Later on, Renee earned her medical coding certificate and worked at Urology offices in Baton Rouge. Renee showed her Christian faith through her letters and poems she regularly sent her family and friends.
In life, she could be found doing crosswords, crocheting, and watching sci-fi movies. She loved amusement parks, beaches, and most of all, she loved spending time with her family. She loved fiercely and would give the shirt off her back to anyone in need. She often spoke of the joy that awaits us in Heaven and we know she is finally experiencing that joy with the Lord and those that have gone before her. We couldn’t put into words just how much she will be missed, but we rest in the promise that we will be together again someday. Renee Faith McMillin, age 61, passed away on March 24, 2024. The world was blessed by every moment she walked it. She is survived by her Mother and Father-in-law Arnell and David McMillin, her soul-mate of 36 years David McMillin, Son and daughter-in-law Christian and Dani Dermody McMillin, granddaughter Lily Faulks, Sister-in-law Gina McMillin Pickering and husband Danny Pickering. She also leaves behind nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Renee is preceded in death by her mother, Isabel Wactor. Services for this beautiful soul will be held on Monday, April 8, 2024 at Victory Harvest Church located at 3953 N Flannery Rd, Baton Rouge, LA 70814 from 6:00pm-8:00pm.

We are so sorry for your loss. Renee was a very sweet person and her encouraging words were always welcome by Misty and me.
