Connie Faye Gerstein, 68, of Denham Springs, LA, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Thursday April 18th, 2024. Connie was known for her loving heart, if you knew her you seen and witnessed the true meaning of love. Her love for her family was unmeasurable, Connie enjoyed gardening, bird watching, and anything to do with nature or being outside in God’s creations. Connie was a member of the Live Oak Church in Watson for many years and loved serving the Lord. Connie’s true passion was loving and spoiling her grandchildren. Connie was a loving and devoted wife, mother, Grammy, sister and friend and will be missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her husband, Fred Gerstein, Jr; children and their spouses, Kristy and Kevin Roy, Rodney and Amy Gerstein; grandchildren Brady Gerstein, Jewel Gerstein and Kalyn Roy; mother Leila Mae Mayers; and siblings, Kathy Matheson, Peggy Hall, Lea Ropollo. She was preceded in death by her father, Feltus Mayers, brother Keith Mayers. Pallbearers will be Rodney Gerstein, Brady Gerstein, Kevin Roy, Keith Bennett, Ben Hall and Jared Mayers. Visitation will be held at Live Oak Church 34890 LA-16, Denham Springs, La 70706 on Tuesday April 23rd from 9:00am until service at 11:00am. Burial will follow at Live Oak Church Cemetery, a special thank you to Dr. Roy J. Culotta, MD and his staff for care that was given, allowing us as much time with her as possible.     Connie was a woman with integrity and a kind heart. She loved her children and grandchildren! I will always have the memories of laughing with her and when she worked at the D S newspaper. She will be gratefully missed by all who loved her

    So sorry to hear about Connie. We grew up together. As an only child my cousins were my siblings.. Her dad, Feltus was my God Father and we spent so much time with his wonderful family.. Very Special Family and Connie will be missed by so many..

    Peggy and Kathy, I am so sorry that Connie has suffered so long and will no longer be in our presence. The Lord is welcoming her home fully healed and happy. Love y’all. Praying for you both as you care for your mom.
