On May 3, 2024, Theresa Geraldine “Deanie” Arnold died in Walker, La at home surrounded by family and friends, she was 76 years old.
Theresa Geraldine is survived by her husband of 56 years Elder Ray Arnold, daughter Tamara Arnold Cupit(Louis Dardar), grandchildren Michael Brendan Cupit, Lilly Marie Cupit, brother Dennis Lashua (Becky) of Walker, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Del and Edna Lashua.
Geraldine was born on 11/18/1946 in Walker, LA. She graduated from Walker High School.Geraldine married Elder Ray Arnold in 1967. They were blessed with the birth of Tamara in 1972 after many miscarriages and much prayer for a family. Geraldine loved children and saw a need for childcare in her community. She founded and was the director of JBC Caring and Learning Center in Walker, La for 29 years.
A celebration of life for Theresa Geraldine is scheduled for Tuesday May 7, 2024 at 4pm at Judson Baptist Church in Walker, La. Visitation will be held from 1pm – 4pm with funeral service at 4pm and burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family asks that donations be sent to any of the following organizations that Theresa Geraldine supported in lieu of flowers.

Geraladine was loved by many. I wrked for her at JBC when we first moved into the area. I taught 3 year old and then kindergarten. She will be greatly missed. My and Stuart’s prayers are with the family.
