Rutheline Ballard McLin, 82, passed away peacefully on May 10th and now gets to “sing & shout, & see the one who saved her soul.”
Ruth was a devoted mother & grandmother, who modeled a servant’s heart. She will be remembered for her dedication to her family, her love of cooking, her quick wit that lasted til the end, the joy in her eyes as she recounted memories of her children’s childhood, taking the time to make music with her grandchildren & great grandchildren, and, most of all, her unwavering love of Jesus Christ.
Ruth was born on May 5, 1942 and a lifelong resident of Denham Springs and member of First Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ.
She was preceded in death by her husband Larry K. McLin, Sr.; her parents W.O. & Alma Ballard; sisters Audrey, Ernestine, Beverly, Stella, and Annie Mae; brothers Lee, Paul, Teddy Ray, and Boyd. She is survived by her sister Ouida; brothers Mike and Joey; children Elaine Stuart (Jimmy), Larry McLin, Jr. (Amber), Sheila McLin, Steve McLin (Kelly), Tracey Rousseau (Nicholas), and Nancey Linder (Jacob); grandchildren Brittany, Garrett, Nicole, Joshua, Kaylin, Tyler, Landon, Megan, Brittney, Kristen, Timothy, Deidra, Trent, Jacob, Jesse, Justin, Jordon, and Jarren; great grandchildren Brady, Chloe, Breyden, Paisley, Addison, Rhett, Emily, Hailey, Peyton, Britton, Ellie, Gracie, Segen, Emersyn, Everett, Emmett, MJ, Lilah, Braxton, Easton, Weston, Naomi, Katie, Elijah, Samuel, Alivia, Kennon, and Lucas.
A graveside service will be held on May 15 at 10AM at Hiram Stafford Family Cemetery.
