My prayers are going out to the family. I am so sorry for your loss. Marvin was my boss for about 6 months. His love for Christ and deep desire to be a good leader for others was very evident. I am blessed to have known him.

My deepest sympathies and heartfelt prayers are extended to the Steinback family. Marvin was an exceptional individual with a profound understanding of birds and history. I enjoyed engaging in bird photography with him during leadership academy and I enjoyed the tours he conducted here at Grand Isle State Park.
Marvin you will truly be missed my friend.

I will miss Marvin (my boss) dearly. He had a kind, thoughtful and caring approach. I will miss learning about the birds in the park, history lessons and so much more. I was lucky to spend a day with him on an adventure to many of our state parks learning of their history. Rest easy within the loving hands of our Lord and Savior.

Deepest condolences to Ellen and family. So saddened to hear of his passing. As a retired park employee and now park volunteer, I truly appreciated the support Marvin offered. He was a great park manager, professional, knowledgeable, and always ready to guide employees and volunteers. He will be missed.

Marvin was a great boss (Park Manager) at Fairview Riverside State Park. All of the staff loved his caring approach and his professionalism. He got to go on a solo vacation to the arid West a few weeks before his death, which he certainly enjoyed. He will be missed.

Marvin:
I enjoyed working with you at Port Hudson and really enjoyed our weekly snake censused, driving Greg Thomas crazy. Save me a spot, fellow Marine.
