Sherrylee Ross Shelton, born in Baton Rouge and a resident of Denham Springs, passed away June 13, 2025 at the age of 64. Sherrylee, well known as “Maw Maw” loved spending time with her family, especially her grandkids and adopted grandkids. Anytime there was country music playing, you knew she was never too far. From going to concerts with the grandkids, to fishing, she never missed a beat. She enjoyed talking with her friends and family and never hesitated to share her opinion, often with passion. Her loving spirit will be dearly missed by her family, friends, and all those who were lucky enough to know her.

She is survived by her daughter Rachel Callais (Edward), and honorary daughter, Ashley Hailey (Kevin); grandchildren, Braydon Chaney, Shelby Rabalais and Riker Secrest; sisters, Anne Shelton (Don), Velma Shelton (Paul) and Nealy Morain (Dennis). As well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents Alvin Emmett Ross and Pearl Matherne Ross, sister, Elizabeth Ann Rogers, niece, Jackie Addison, brother, Alton “AE” Emmett Ross, and sister, Virginia Ann Freeman

Services will take place at Seale Funeral Home in Denham Springs on Friday, June 20, 2025 with visitation from 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM and service beginning at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park.
