John Kelley Jr., precious husband to Yvonne, father to John and Jason and Shannon and their spouses Michele and Nicole and Brandon, left this earthly world on June 13th at the age of 85 to be with his Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ. He loved his family with all his heart. The grandsons and granddaughters and the great grands. He was their “Poppy” and each one held special memories and love in his heart. He and Yvonne wish to thank the many “prayer warriors” including many friends and family. A special thanks to Janette and Richard (Pat) Kelley and their 3 precious daughters Karen, Lisa, Susan and Lisa’s children Alexandra and Isabella, for their faithfulness in their daily prayers for their Uncle John. Our family has been blessed with daily calls of support expressing love and offerings to help in any way possible from so many people who knew and loved John.
John was a gentle, humble man who loved all animals big and small. He and Yvonne loved and rescued many animals. The pet household at the present includes Cash, Rose and Lilly who definitely will miss him. John served 4 years in the US Navy and upon completion of his term of service he returned home and began his career in Instrumentation Engineering . He worked at several Industrial Engineering companies during his career and retired from Sigma Engineering at age 73.
John and Yvonne and their children lived in Ohio and Montana and Washington but maintained their home in Central. They later built their home on the Sullivan estate property on Old River Road. John was an avid metal detectorist and spent many happy hours with his sons and friends at this hobby.
John will be remembered as a most gentle and humble man who deeply loved his wife, children, grandchildren, and any animal he ever encountered. He was not a hunter rather a respecter of all animals and an observer of all God’s creatures in their own space. He will be so lovingly missed.
A private memorial is being planned for later this month at the family home for family and friends.

There are simply no words Yvonne. We have so many memories of all our times together. Only God can comfort you and your family. I see John every time I look out my windows and see the fountain in my pond. If it were not for him Bobby would have never got it going. John was always here through “thick and thin”. May he rest in peace now without any pain and being tired. The “best” of the best friend. He loved you and the family so much. There is only “one” John Kelley” and I am proud to say when he loved someone they really felt his love. We lost a great one…
