Thomas “Marty” Buckley Martin passed away,peacefully at his home on Sunday, June 4, 2023,with his dog Coco faithfully by his side. Marty was a loving father, grandfather, uncle, brother,and friend. A family man to his core. Marty was always there to help someone in need, not just family and friends, but people he had never met. People that were down on their luck and just needed a little kindness and assistance. He was honest with a Martin sense of humor which is one of a kind. If you were around any of the Martins, you were always laughing. He enjoyed fishing in Leeville with his father, Tommy and his bothers Mike and Matt. He enjoyed watching his son, Beaux race dirt bikes and playing with his grandkids Evan and Edie. To know him was to love him and he will be greatly missed by many.
“Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in usand his love is made complete in us.” I John 4:11-12
Marty is preceded in death my his mother Betty Jo Baker and father Tommy Martin. He leaves behind Wanda Guillot, his daughter Fallan Butler, her husband Michael Butler, two grandchildren Evan and Edie Butler, his loving son Beaux Martin, brothers, Michael Martin and Matthew Martin, sister Haley Riffe as well as Jessica Bailey and her children Mallory and Dylan.
Services will be on Friday, June 9, 2023.
Visitation from 10:00 a.m. -12:00 p.m. at Seale Funeral in Denham Springs. Service to begin at 12:00 p.m. followed by his burial at 1:00 p.m. at Greenoaks Memorial Park in Baton Rouge.
