October 25, 1955 – August 14, 2023
Michael Storm Davidsohn, born October 25th, 1955 in Syracuse, NY to Uryon Sahari & Willa Skipwith (Christoph) Davidsohn, went to his rest August 14th, 2023, after an extended battle with pancreatic cancer. He did not allow cancer to lessen his love of life, nor impact his friendships. A loving, devoted son and brother, Michael’s family were friends and his friends were family. He loved both, embracing their flaws as he loved their strengths. He visited both friend and family frequently, even in illness. His beloved dogs, Roxy and Remington remained his constant companions to the last. Michael knew pain, but instead of bitterness, learned understanding. He always wished to comfort those in pain, and always tried to get along with everyone. He had a deep love for his dogs. He desired to leave the world better for his presence. Michael will be missed. Quick and clever, he was both craftsman and engineer. His successful careers as cabinet maker at his own cabinet shop, and as a Senior Instrumentation Technician at chemical plants, reflected his skill and work ethic. He was also an avid reader, and he handcrafted many bookshelves for the walls of his home to store his large sci-fi book collection and burgeoning library of cookbooks. He enjoyed preparing meals for friends, family, and his beloved pets. Michael also appreciated the great variety of cuisine in Louisiana. He is survived by his mother, Willa Davidsohn, sister Rachel Davidsohn, brother Daniel Davidsohn, Aunt Fannie Salerno, cousins Chris Salerno, Lucy Lilien and son Christopher Jose, all of Florida, half-sister Sharon Rogers and husband Wayne of South Dakota, Natalie Mounier, and his loving pets Roxy and Remi. He leaves behind many close and dear friends. Michael was preceded in death by his father Uryon, stepmother Marty, and sister Yael. Memorial donations may be made to the ASPCA, Best Friends Animal Society, or any pet rescue. Funeral and Celebration of Life will be held at a later time. Online condolences may be sent to the family at sealefuneral.com

WOW almost 50 years as Neighbors! How wonderful. I know we talked once Sarah and like Rachel said he so appreciated having you all as his friends and neighbors. We all enjoyed Michael’s kindness and love each visit and he took awesome care of his Mom every visit!! Got to taste some of the great meals he made and we will miss him very much. Rest in Peace Michael. Love and hugs to all his family and friends. So thankful to Raymond and Diane for taking his beloved Remi and Roxi. We know they are in the best care. Colleen and Daniel

Michael’s beautifully written obituary truly reflects the person he had grown to be. He was our next door neighbor for nearly fifty years and will be missed. I pray that God will draw each of you to Him in comfort and love.

Thank you Miss Sarah. He always spoke of you with great affection, and he knew he could count on you as a good neighbor. I think that made his life a lot better, in the last year or two, when he wanted so much to travel, and yet was worried about things at home. Thank you so much.
