“I went home for Christmas….”
I went home for Christmas and oh what I did see there before my eyes such wonder and glee
I was greeted by loved ones
I’d not seen in so long.
They came running to meet me
to welcome me home.
What joy, what happiness I felt when just there
It was so overwhelming it can’t be compared
Then I saw him before me
The one I’ve waited so long to see…
I knew this wasn’t just a visit, this is eternity!
I did not turn away nor did I look around
His arms wrapped around me
oh such love I have found!
He said child well done you’re home is now here
My heart leaped within me so full of cheer!
I went home for Christmas oh what I did see…
Whenever you get here you’ll share it with me
