Juanita Chandler passed away on Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at the age of 85. She was born in New Orleans and received her Master’s in Education from LSU. Juanita is survived by her husband of 68 years, Dennis Chandler; granddaughter Angelina Hill and husband Trent; and her loving neighbors Joan and Brent Clark. She was preceded in death by her parents Winford and Ella Tate Carroll. Visitation will be held at Luke 10:27, 536 Centerville St NE, Denham Springs, LA 70726, on Friday, March 22, 2024 from 5:00pm until 7:00pm. Visitation on Saturday will resume at 9:00am. Funeral services will begin at 10:00am. Burial will follow in New Haven Baptist Church Cemetery in Tickfaw, LA. Pallbearers will be Trent Hill, David Hill, Brent Clark, Brandt Coyle, Matthew Walker, and Dale Tate. Juanita loved being an educator and was called the “sweetest woman”. She will be missed by those that knew her. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Durwin Walker, Sage in Denham Springs and Hospice of Baton Rouge for their care and support.

My heart goes out to you all with love. I know it has been a long journey. I can’t express enough how much I will miss Mrs. Juanita. May God grant you peace and many memories to hold dear.
