2 Timothy 4:7-8 I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith. Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day, and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing. It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our loved one, Larry Collins Scott, 81 years old, resident of Walker, LA, surrounded by his loving family during his passing on Sunday, February 2, 2025, at The Carpenter House. He was a loving husband, son, brother, father, grandfather, and friend to so many. Prior to retiring he was an X-Ray tech for Baton Rouge General Hospital Mid-City for 44 years. He loved going camping and especially loved going to Percy Quinn State Park.  He was an amazing photographer and rarely left home without his camera. He was a member of the Parish Photography League in Livingston Parish where he made lifelong friends.

Larry is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Nancy O’Neal Scott; daughter, Karen Scott; sons, Christopher Scott (Charmaine), and Chad Scott (Penny); grandsons, Conner Scott, Christian Scott; granddaughters, Katie Matthews, Ava Scott and Zayda Shuckrow and numerous sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews.

Larry is preceded in death by his parents, Gilford and Mildred Scott; daughter, Margaret Kaye Scott. Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for graveside service and burial on Thursday, February 6, 2025 at 2:00 pm at Knox Cemetery on Jones Creek at S Harrells Ferry Rd, Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made in honor of Larry Scott to Parish Photography League in Livingston Parish. Special thanks to Ebony of Fresenius Dialysis on O’Neal Lane and Dr Murrill for your loving care of him.

    Larry will definitely be missed. I always enjoyed talking with him about photography and it was evident how much he loved life. Nancy, I will keep you and your family in my prayers during this very difficult time.
