Robert “Bob” Offenbacher, a resident of Humble, Texas passed away on Thursday, January 28, 2021 at the age 98. Bob proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and was stationed in India during WWII. Visitation will be held at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 beginning at 1:00pm. Rev. Ernest Graham will conduct funeral services at 3:00pm. Burial will follow in Amite Baptist Church Cemetery. He is survived by his two children, Ray Offenbacher and wife Ann, and Lisa Thomas, seven grandchildren, Rodger Offenbacher, Beverly McCool, Desiree Peden, Stephanie Andrus, Raymond Offenbacher, Andrea Lanning, and Amanda Lanning, twelve great-grandchildren, and two great great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Leeta Offenbacher, his first wife of sixty-three years, Ruth Binkley Offenbacher, his second wife Gertrude Offenbacher, brothers, James, Charles, Norman, his twin William and Thomas, two sons, Robert Alan Offenbacher and Maurice Eldon Offenbacher. He was a carpenter by trade and enjoyed carpentry his whole life. Bob and his wife Ruth traveled the country on their motorcycle, even making the trip to Nova Scotia one year. Mr Bob was a remarkable man. When visiting Ms Gertrude, I learned so much of his world travels, tenacity in his work—whether it be on ship or around the house. I will always treasure that friendship.
