Louis Stephen Rastanis passed away on January 28, 2021, at the age of 69 surrounded by his family.
Louis Stephen Rastanis had many accomplishments in his life and was never scared of anything. He served in the US Army from 1969 to 1974 also he attended LSU College in his 40’s earned a degree in Philosophy and then went to Law School he practice law for 10yrs. He ventured out on many business adventures and enjoyed every one of them. Louis lived a life of adventure his last adventure was a flight instructor at Autogyro of Louisiana and loved his family. He leaves behind his loving wife Terry Rastanis Children: Sean Rastanis , Stephanie Rastanis Halker. Step children: Preston Asevedo, Shannon Pennino, Damian Asevedo, and Justen Asevedo.
He is survived by 10 Grandchildren: Isaiah Halker, Alex Halker, Rowan Rastanis, Ashlyn Asevedo, Casey Melerine Lavergne, Samatha Melerine, Zoe Bauer, Haden Bauer, Noah Bauer and Dara Drum, he is also survived by his siblings, Diana Hanks, Dolores K. Witherspoon, Suzanne Benedict and James Magee Jr. He was preceded in death by his mother, Catherine Rastanis, father Austin Rastanis, and Frances Zulkowski, Sharon Salves, Anita Schultz, Constance Subezuk and Michael Rastanis. His services will be held on February 28, 2021 at:
Greater St.Tammany Regional Airport, Hwy 36, Abita Springs, LA 70420.

Shocked to learn of Stephen’s passing. I worked on some legal matters with him many years ago and came to appreciate his zeal and determination in representing his clients. Though we were working on legal matters, I could tell he had interests in many other things as well. He was fun and interesting to hang around with and always had an interesting story to tell.
Very sorry to know he is gone. Best wishes to his family.
