Lula Aydell Brown, 83 years old, went to her heavenly home on the morning of Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at her home in French Settlement. A golden heart stopped beating, a precious soul at rest. God broke our hearts to show us that He only takes the best. Lula was a beloved Wife, Nanny, Mother, MawMaw, Granny and dear friend to many. Visitation at St. Joseph Catholic Church, French Settlement, on Saturday, November 20, from 9 am until Catholic Mass at 11 am with Father Jason Palermo, celebrant, and Deacon Jimmy Little. Survived by her son Tommy and wife Candy of St. Amant, daughter Tracy and husband Dickie Schaubhut; grandchildren Nicole Brown, Matthew Schaubhut and wife Heather, Bryan Schaubhut and fiancè Kristi Achord; great-grandchildren Cole, Brody and Landry Schaubhut, many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband, Evan “CoCo” Brown, parents Amulice and Marie Aydell, six sisters, Anna, Beulah, Doris, Elda, Eunice, Mildred; and three brothers, Henry, Johnny and Ray. Pallbearers will be Matthew and Bryan Schaubhut, Bobby Harris, Danny Aydell, Robert Matherne and Russ Granier. Honorary Dwight Granier, Gilbert Matherne and Kenny Delatte. Lula served on the Eucharistic Ministers, Rosary Group, Youth Group Adult Committee, Social Responsibility of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Lula was also well known for her famous coconut cake. Special thanks to her caregivers Leona with Pinnacle Home Health and Gwen with Clarity Hospice.

My dearest Aunt LuLa,
The last of my surviving aunts, you’ve gone to Heaven to join your husband, my mom and dad and all my other aunts and uncles on the Brown side of my family. I know they must have greeted you with open arms. Go and join the rest of your family and know that all is well here on earth and we will keep you in our hearts and memory’s and Tommy and Tracy will have our love and support always. Rest In Peace dear one. We love you. ❤️❤️

My heat is broken. She will be missed dearly. She was such a big part of my childhood. I will remember always her making cakes for us on our Birthdays & her & Mom talking at the fence for hours or so it seemed when you are a kid. Precious memories. My deepest sympathies & prayers to her family and all my love. Your Mom & Grandmother is & was loved. Nanny will be missed greatly. Such a kind heart in a tough world. Happy that she no longer suffers the pain of this world, but I will always carry her memory in my heart. Prayers for Tracy, Tommy and their families. Love you cousins.
