2022ObituariesUncategorizedKatherine “Kessie” Glascock

Katherine (Kessie) Cook Glascock passed away suddenly on April 10th 2022 while bravely battling sickness. If love could have saved her, she would of lived forever!  She was born on November 5th 1978, in Baton Rouge, LA. Daughter of parents Chester Lee Cook Jr and Pamela Stafford Cook. She is survived by her husband John Glascock, loving children Heidi Crotwell, Haleigh Glascock and Haydn Glascock, grandsons Isaiah Corken, Zayne Pollard, siblings Maranda Cook Zoll, Chester (Trey) Lee Cook III and Danielle Cook, many nieces and nephews and fantastic friends Jeannette Hooper, Lily Osuna and Suzie Brady.  A “wild-child” growing up in the 90’s, she always said how everything changed for her when she had children and then again when she had grandchildren. Kessie was a  free spirit, she believed in flexibility, “modifications” and change. She valued loyalty and authenticity. She believed that everyone needs a harmless outlet for stress, and her outlet was herbs, being outdoors, tanning in the sunshine. She loved music, arts and crafts, writing and traveling.  Kessie had an amazing sense of humor and a beautiful laugh! She was known to say the most shocking thing she could think of, in hopes of helping you see a new perspective. She made her whole family laugh with her outrageous and exaggerated facial expressions, and all her silly sayings. She was kind, generous and compassionate. Even when she spoke in anger, she was often the first to apologize and to try to heal what was broken. She believed in autonomy and dignity and a person’s right to choose the life they wanted. She struggled with the concept of tough love and was fiercely independent and private. She loved her entire family, despite their quirks and disfunction. She worried about them, rooted for them, protected them, resented them, forgave them, and always kept on loving them. The life of Kessie will be celebrated on April 15 from 9 am until 11 am with an 11 am funeral service at Midway Baptist church 27264 S Satsuma Rd, Livingston, LA 70754. Grave side services will follow in Blount Cemetery. A special thanks to Tara Lea for florals and extreme kindness. Kessie will be desperately missed by all those that she’s left behind. Our hearts are so broken by this unexpected loss.

So sorry to hear about Kessie’s passing away. My son spent many a day down at Kessie & John’s place. I always knew he was ok when he was there.
I am praying for each of you that God will comfort your hearts in this trying time.

I love you little sister. You were my babydoll that momma and daddy brought home from the hospital. I know you are now happy and well. Until we see each other again…I’ll be missing you. Give Mawmaw and Pawpaw Cook hugs and kisses for me. Let Aunt Kathy know I love and miss her too. Give Mawmaw Katherine hugs and kisses too. I love you little sister. John, Heidi, Haleigh, Haydn and y’all’s children are in my thoughts and prayers. Mom and Dad we get through this all together. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
