Robert Franklin Williams, Sr. of Denham Springs was born December 27, 1943 in Baton Rouge, and passed away Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at The Carpenter House – Hospice Center. He was 77 years old and a lifelong resident of Louisiana. Robert’s passions were Ham Radio, fishing and anything mechanical. He was a US Navy ADRAN (E-3) veteran, who received the National Defense Service Medal and proudly served his country, with six years of active service. Later, he served as a firefighter for the Baton Rouge Fire Department, and served 18 years with the Baton Rouge City Police Department. Robert is survived by his first wife, Edna Nell Capers, daughter, Melanie Denise Williams and son, Kenneth “Kenny” Troy Williams, grandchildren Corey Lee Williams, Courtney Nicole Erickson, Jessica Williams Benson and Robert “Robby” Franklin Williams, III; Kenny’s three children, Damen, Logan and Audrey Williams; and two great grandchildren. He is survived by his brothers Paul David Williams (Bonnie Smith Williams), Mark Lyn Williams (Susan Blythe Williams), Stephen Ray Williams, and numerous nieces and nephews. Robert was preceded in death by his second wife, Mary Lee Luneau Williams, and his third wife, Nancy Carolyn Einsiedel; his parents Robert Lee Williams and Helen Virginia Burrow Williams, his brother Phillip Wayne Williams, and his son, Sgt. Robert “Bobby” Franklin Williams, Jr. Visitation will be at Seale Funeral Home in Denham Springs with Reverend Donny Musso officiating. Visitation is on Friday, January 29, 2021 from 5-8 pm, with additional visitation Saturday morning from 8-10 am, services beginning at 10 am. Burial immediately following funeral at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Baker. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, masks will be required during visitation and at gravesite.
