Rick passed away Monday, October 4, 2021 at his home in Denham Springs, LA. He is survived by his “children”, Buddy and Harley. They stayed by his side and cared for him until Rick was safely in Heaven. Rick was also lovingly cared for by his friends. He was a man that had many life-long friends and shared his last journey with them by his side. Rick is survived by his sister, Mitzi Crawford Spears and his brother-in-law, Dr. Bill Spears. Neither of which left his side during his last days here with us, gently tended to every need, and comforted him in a way only they could. He is survived by his two nieces, Morgan Worley Knight (Justin), Meredith Worley Morris (Johnny), and his nephew, Mark Foster Worley. Rick has six great nephews, Brock Crawford Cambre, Gunner Aldrich Cambre, Duke Mitchell Cambre, Wren Leslie Booth, Aiden Keith Knight, and Bowen Foster Morris. Rick was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Joan Crawford of Baton Rouge, LA. He will be laid to rest in Philadelphia, MS. We would like to extend special gratitude to Heart of Hospice, his nurse Nicole, as well as Celeste, and our social worker, Robin. The love and tenderness given to Rick and his family will be forever appreciated.

Sweet Mitzi….my heart is hurting so bad for you and your family right now. If only I had adequate words to ease the pain of that gaping hole in your heart. I pray that all the wonderful memories you share with him live on in your heart forever. I pray that Charles will come again in your dreams, assuring you that Rick is up there with him, knowing that one day we’ll all be united again for eternity. Love you, my sweet friend.

Rick was my cousin. His dad was my oldest first cousin on my mother’s side and when I think of Rick as a little boy I think of a blonde, blue eyed, beautiful child. He was so loved by his older cousins. He was that guy who I wouldn’t hear from for awhile and then sometimes late at night I’d get a text and we would pick right up from our last visit. I will always love him.

I didn’t know Rick personally, only through his family, but from what I hear, he was a great guy who left behind a great legacy. God Bless his family and my deepest love and condolences go out to them. The heavens gained a beautiful angel that was loved by so many. RIP dearest Rick ♥️
