Elwin Simon was my dear little brother whom I love very dearly.
***HE WAS THE BEST BROTHER EVER *** and I will miss him so very much!
The last time Elwin came to see us in Chilton was on November 9th, 2021. He stayed with us for 5 days
and when he left, we all had very emotional goodbye words… We could see that he was not well so, we know God took him out of his pain and misery. He said he wanted to come to see me, his big sister and his best buddy Paul my hubby while he could come.

We enjoyed our last visit from my darling brother and my husband Paul loved Elwin so very much that he (we) cried when Elwin left. Thank you, God for your mercy… Then My husband Paul who God gave to me for over 64 years was ill and died just 6 days after Elwin left. Elwin was grieving for him before he died. Love you guys… Delta DeltaBizz@aol.com https://www.newsbreak.com/news/2488274229394/elwin-simon

Uncle Elwin was a larger than life presence in our family for the past 58 years that I was blessed to know him. My mom is his older sister but it was my dad who called him “little brother” even more than she did. They could sit and talk for hours about everything and nothing – and I never missed a chance to enjoy those entertaining stories. On his last visit in November we listened to Willie Nelson sing the entire “Troublemaker” album of gospel songs and “Unk” Elwin sang along on every single song. Even though he was not feeling well he still knew how to add fun to any occasion, and people always wanted to be wherever he was at. He truly was one of the best men I have ever known, and I will miss him so much. – CathyJoSawyerAlmanza@gmail.com

    Sunday morning Sunday night
    Wednesday evening prayer
    One thing was always certain
    Bro Elwin would be there

    Prayer breakfast , VBS
    And functions for the youth
Bro Elwin’s face amongst the crowd cause he was there too

    For a partner in crime
Or a friend to spend time
    In laughter or in prayer
    You could count on him
    Bro Elwin would be there

    Today is a little different.
That third pew looks mighty bare
We’ll have to meet him in heaven
Cause if he’s not here he’s there.
