Frazier, Martin

Martin Augustus Frazier, of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, passed away on Friday, May 4, 2022, at the age of 63. He was born on May 23, 1958 in Beaufort, North Carolina.

A former graduate and football standout at East Carteret High School, Martin enjoyed working as a longshoreman and fisherman in the Carteret County area and Louisiana. A natural jokester, Martin leaves many fun-filled and cherished memories to remember him by.

Martin is survived by his sons, Dontra Smith and Devin Smith, of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Father John Allen Stiles Sr., Brothers William Frazier (Debbie) of Houston, Texas, Rodney Frazier (Valerie), of Wake Forest North Carolina, John Stiles Jr. (Soy) of Kannapolis, North Carolina, Sister Lakenya Stiles Evans, Raleigh, and a host of nieces, nephews, and special cousins and friends.

Martin was preceded in death by his mother Brenda Frazier Stiles.

A Memorial and Celebration of Life will be held at a later date in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

    To the family, Martin and I were classmates from kindergarten to the 12th grade. He always had a heart of gold and would give you the shirt off of his back and always treated me with kindness. You would never leave his presence before him making you laugh. Martin will be sorely missed, but he will never be forgotten. To the family look unto the hills from whence comes your help, for your help comes from the Lord. May God give you all strength and comfort in this difficult time.

    Cousin Martin, we will miss you in the flesh but not in memory. Our years growing up I will always cherish. Rest In Peace.
