Beverly Smith Bethea, a resident of Gonzales, Louisiana, passed away at the age of 83 on June 20, 2022. She was born on July 19, 1938 in Alexandria, Louisiana. Beverly graduated from Baton Rouge High School and LSU with a Paralegal Degree. She was a loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother. Beverly was a woman of grace and of strong faith. She was an accomplished artist, being commissioned many times throughout the years. Beverly had the voice of an angel and as a child she performed for the USO Troops. She also performed at various events. Beverly is survived by her son, James Robert Bethea, Jr. (Cindy) and daughter, Lyn Bethea Brady (Jeff). Grandchildren; Kristen, Ashli, Nick, Tyler, Bree, Allie, Dustin, Danielle, Shanna, Josh and Maria. Great Grandchildren; Hanna, Caleb, Reid, Presley, Eliza, Stella, Ella, Callie, Micah, Julian, Luke, Gabriella, Olivia, Jobe, Noah, Layla and Josslyn. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 65 years, James R. Bethea, Sr.; son, Michael Shane Bethea (Kristin); her Father, Rholie E. Smith and Mother, Chloe W. Smith. Visitation will take place at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs, LA Thursday June 23, 2022 beginning at 1:00pm, service to follow at 3:00pm. Graveside service immediately after at Hebron Baptist Church on Hwy. 16, Denham Springs, LA. The family of Beverly Bethea wishes to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Bridgeway Hospice for the care and comfort of our loving Mother. Also special thanks is given to Beverly’s caregivers, who without them, we would not have been able to keep her in her home as promised, Lisa, Bertha, Charlene and Debbie. Beverly was extremely loved and will be greatly missed.
