Phyllis Cecile Sibley Sanders, age 75, a retired secretary and bookkeeper from Walker, Louisiana, died Wednesday, September 21, 2022, at her home as a result of cancer. She was born in 1947, in Walker, to the late William Pinkney and Merle Chapman Sibley. She was a 1965 graduate of Walker High School. She was preceded in death by 12 brothers and sisters. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Marion O. Sanders, Jr. Children: Bryan and his wife Stacey of Walker; Myra Sanders Smith of Livingston; Mark and his wife JoLynn of Salem, Ohio; 11 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren with one on the way. Brother Wilton Sibley; sisters Pat King; Sharon Szanyi; Judy Simmons. Pallbearers are Jacob Sanders, Nathan Sanders, Aaron Smith, Blake Smith, Jonny Jeanice, and Jake Frelich. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of St. Joseph’s Hospice for their care. Visitation on Friday, September 23, 2022, will be from 5pm-8pm at Seale Funeral Home in Denham Springs. Visitation will continue Saturday, September 24, 2022, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Denham Springs with a Rosary from 8:30am-9am, visitation from 9am until Mass at 11am, conducted by Rev. Taylor Sanford. Interment will be at Evergreen Memorial Park on S. Range Avenue in Denham Springs. Please sign the online guestbook at www.sealefuneral.com

    Mo & Myra, I was so shocked to hear of Cecile’s passing. She was so sweet and kind and will be greatly missed by all her friends and family.

    God has called another angel home. Cecile will forever be in our hearts. I was blessed to have such a great sister-in-law who accepted me into the family. She will be greatly missed by all.
