Come to me, all who are burdened and weary and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28

Following a brief illness, Katie passed away on June 24, 2023 at Ochsner’s Medical Center in Baton Rouge, La. Katie was born on September 7, 1986 to Deborah and David Fritchie. Though her time on earth was only a short time, the impact she made to all who loved her will always be remembered. Her life was one filled with family, adventure and incredible friends. She would go from a river road ruffian rolling down the levee with her siblings and cousins to later become a warrior with just a little sass and sparkle. She overcame and she was unstoppable. Katie was an outstanding mother and to Jaxon, Greyce and Remy, always know that she loved you with her whole heart.

Katie is survived by her three children, Greyce and Remy Pete and Jaxon Fritchie. She is also survived by her brothers, Luke Fritchie (Becky), Travis Fritchie and Ian Fritchie as well as her sister Christina Radasky (Justin), nephews, Corbin and Cohen Fritchie, Nieces, Piper Radasky and Bella Fritchie.

She is also survived by her Aunt, Kim Populus (Darryl), Uncle John Fritchie (JJ) and Aunt Karen Fritchie (Donald Cook) as well as numerous cousins. Katie is also survived by three of the best buddies in the world, Cody Guitrau, Anna Pearson and her cousin, Clayton Edmonds. Their endless devotion to her was unmatched and she knew she was truly blessed to have them in her life.

She is preceded in death by her parents, David and Deborah Fritchie, Maternal grandparents, Allen Owens and Irma Cleveland, paternal grandparents, Roger and Alma Fritchie, uncles, Michael Fritchie and Roger Fritchie, Jr., Steven Owens, Corey Cleveland and Aunt Jennifer Cusimana.

The family would like to thank the ICU team with Ochsner’s Medical Center for their incredible care and giving it their all. It will never be forgotten.

Celebration of Life for Katie to be held on Saturday, July 22, 2023 at Tickfaw State Park at 11:00 am.
