Sara Nicole Marshall 37, Maurepas, La., passed away on 7/1/2023.
Sara was born on 9/4/1985, to Gail Alt Marshall and Paul N. Marshall, Jr. in Baton Rouge, La.
Sara attended St. Amant High School and Central High School. She later completed her High
School education at Job Corp in Carville, La. When Sara was born, she was such a happy baby
and cheerful child. She loved giving hugs and helping others. She attended Francis Asbury
Methodist church with her grandparents most of her young life. She was baptized there and made
her confirmation professing Christ as her Savior. She visited the elderly at nursing homes with
members of the church to share Christ to all she met. Sara never met a stranger She had a smile
that could light up a room.
Sara loved food and being around people, so she worked as a cook and as a clerk in retail for
several years. She was so generous to others and loved unconditional. She loved tinkering with
things like fixing or refurbishing jewelry. Her favorite things were lady bugs, owls, Pooh Bear
and Piglet.
She had several childhood friends who she maintained a very close and family friendship with.
One of which was Mary Ann Baldwin and her family and children. Mary and her were the
closest of friends, they considered each other as soulmates. We, as Sara’s family want to thank
Mary especially for all she did to help Sara throughout the last couple of years.
Sara was predeceased by her paternal grandparents who raised her, Zora Hamlett Marshall and
Paul Norris Marshall Sr. (Prairieville), her Aunt Sheila Marshall, her most loved and cherish fur
baby Bullet. She is survived by her birth parents, Gail Robin Alt Marshall Masi (Maurepas) &
Paul N. Marshall, Jr. California, her sister Amber C. Alt Pegues (husband Kevin) (Prairieville),
brother Charles Lee Marshall (Prairieville), loving nephew Aiden L Ivey (Prairieville), loving
niece Mya M. Ivey (Prairieville), and great-nephew Elijah Guidry, along with aunts and uncles
and cousins.
Services will be held at Francis Asbury Methodist Church 15447 Old Hammond Hwy., Baton
Rouge, La. on 7/15/2023 at 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations to Francis Asbury Methodist
Church in Sara’s Memory or donations be made to Go Fund Me for funeral expenses at
