Charles “Nick” Castello born in Kentwood, Louisiana and a resident of Gonzales, Louisiana passed away August 28, 2023 at the age of 81. Charles served in the United States Air Force and Merchant Marines. He worked for Exxon for two years until he retired in 1996. He loved “hot shotting”, riding his motorcycles and his Miata convertible. He was also skilled in cooking and enjoyed it very much. He had a passion for animals, especially his dog Lucy, who he loved dearly. He is survived by his wife Faye Castello, children Cindy Castello, Kelly Sasser and husband Steven Sasser, Dana Corbin and husband Jeff Corbin, and Lucy his faithful pet companion, grandchildren Karlee C. Laney, Katelyn “KK” Sasser, Chase Castello, great grandchildren Graham Laney, Barrett Laney and Reese Laney and a grand-dog Ginger, brother Robert W. Castello and wife Renee Castello. He is preceded in death by his parents Willie Castello Sr., Georgia Castello and Hazel Castello, sons Charles “Chuck” Castello, Jr. and William “Billy” Castello, brother Willie Castello Jr., Uncle Joe Sampere, Aunt “Dolly” Lee and mother-in-law Dorothy “Mee Moo” Ritter. Visitation will take place at Seale Funeral Home in Denham Springs on September 11, 2023 from 4PM-6PM with a memorial service starting at 6PM.
