Edward Farryell May went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, September 21, 2023. He was 83. He died at home surrounded by those he loved. A native of Doyle, La., he was a longtime resident of Denham Springs, and the devoted husband of Linda Fugler May for 61 loving years. He was a member of New Covenant Church, Denham Springs. Retired from Ethyl Corp. and Hall-Buck Marine, Ed was an avid fisherman, Colorado hunter, musician, and gifted artist, but his greatest loves were his children, Candace May Thibodeaux (Jason) and F. Bryan May (Margot).
Ed is survived by his wife, children, grandchildren Dr. Brady Milanes (Ricki), Caroline Milanes, Jackson, Berkley, and Tucker May, sister Betty May Rosenson (Ronnie), sisters and brothers-in-law, and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents, Edward L. and Eleanor Lard May, sister Virginia “Ginger” May Duncan, nephews Paul Jones and Yancy Watkins, and parents-in-law B. F. and Annie Miller Fugler. Visitation at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs, Monday 5-8 pm, and Tuesday 1-3 pm, with service at 3 pm. Led by Rev. Mike DiMaria, with memories from Randy Underwood and music by great-nephew Luke Hand. Burial to follow in Denham Springs Memorial Cemetery. Please sign the online guestbook at www,sealefuneral.com

    So sorry to hear Ed has passed away! Remembering all the times we worked together at Exxon and want to let his family know how wonderful he was to work with! I know he will be missed by all he has left behind!!

    I will positively miss all the stories and times I had sitting and listening to Mr Ed’s stories! Always could make me laugh.

    Condolences and our deepest sympathy to the family of Ed May as well as the Fugler family. Many years ago Ed worked with my Dad at Ethyl and I ended up working with his brother in law Raymond. Praying for peace and comfort for all.
