Donald Eugene Newland Sr. 74, passed away Wednesday December 20, 2023 at his home in Central, LA.

Born April 25, 1949 to the Late father Raymond Newland Sr., and mother Mabel Louise Paine Glascock.

Don worked for Deltech Corp, until his retirement.

Left behind to cherish his memory his wife of 19 years Darlene Faye Bennett Newland and beloved dog Taz, children Devlin Hopper (Jeffery), Donnie, Dewayne, and Joseph Newland. Stepson Linwood “Joedale” Williams and Special grandson Linwood “Kelton” Williams as well as numerous other great and grand children. Brothers Thomas “Willie” (Xiaohua), Jack “Bubbie” Glasscock (Sheryl) and sisters Geneva “Tee” Glasscock Crow (Olin). Sister in law Betty Bennett Sibley (Bo) and brother in law Dennis Bennett Sr. (Becka).

He will be greatly missed by his brother Bubbie whom they spoke daily, longtime friend Frances Guillaume and Bertha Karides.

There are no services at this time. The family will have a celebration of life at a later date.

Thanks to Baton Rouge Health care, Pinnacle Home Health and Hospice for there excellent care for Don and I.

    My prayers and condolences to the family and friends for their loss. I had the pleasure of working with Don and continued our friendship after his retirement. Don was a big man with a big heart and he will be missed.

    Faye Faye I’m so so sorry Don was a good man and on dart nights he was a blast make us laugh!! You are the best also sending prayers if u need us Faye we here again so sorry please post when u have celebration of life!! Love u Girl!!

    Faye,my heart is heavy. I have you wrapped in my thoughts and my prayers. I am only a call away. I am going to miss the geezer. He left us with some great memories (and soe let’s not talk about). I love you my dear. I am so glad you have been a part of my life.
