Lavene Tessier, born in Philadelphia, Mississippi and a resident of Baton Rouge, Louisiana passed away April 24, 2024 at the age of 93. She was an office manager for Cintas for 40 years upon retiring. She enjoyed spending her time working in her yard and loved to cook her favorite meals. She never missed cooking a home-made Sunday dinner for her family. Lavene had a talent for sewing and throughout her life she sewed a lot of her own clothing. She had an interest in Genealogy and liked learning more about her family history. She will be missed dearly by all those who knew and loved her. She is survived by her son Rick Ferguson, her grandchild Angela Miller, her great-grandchildren Christopher Johnson and Lucas Miller, her sister Normalyn Myers and her brother Pete Manning. She is preceded in death by her husband David Tessier, her grandchild Carrie Virginia “Ginny” Ferguson and her brother Conval Manning. Visitation will take place at Seale Funeral Home in Denham Springs on Saturday April 27, 2024 from 1 PM-3 PM with the service starting at 3 PM officiated by Brother Paul Jones and burial to follow in Evergreen Memorial Park.
