Aundrea Kirkland Flynn (nee Arreaga) passed away on April 24, 2024, at the age of 57 in Baton Rouge, LA. She was born on April 30, 1966, in New Orleans. Aundrea was a loving wife to Mark T. “Todd” Flynn for 26 years and a devoted mother to her sons, Matthew T. Flynn and Charles A. Flynn. She will be deeply missed by her family, including her mother-in-law Johnnie B. Chauvin Flynn, father-in-law William T. “Bill” Flynn and wife Billie Flynn, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Also special mention to Genevieve Lacoste Von Walgamott, whom Aundrea considered family. Aundrea was preceded in death by her mother, Connie Kirkland Arreaga, and her father, Anthony L. “Tony” Arreaga.
Aundrea was known for her selfless nature and dedication to her family. She was a homeschooling parent who took great pride in raising her two sons. Aundrea’s career as a Program Director at the Centre for the Arts in New Roads, LA, was marked by her commitment to expanding student membership and her successful photography contracts with various entities.
In her free time, Aundrea enjoyed photography and videography, arts and crafts, as well as camping and outdoor activities. She was actively involved in organizations such as the Boy Scouts of America, West Baton Rouge Museum, 4-H Club, and PC Rec. Aundrea was also a past member of the Eastern Star.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 3rd at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Lakeland, LA, with visitation from 9:00 am to 11:00 am, followed by Mass from 11:00 am to Noon. A reception will take place in the Church Hall from Noon to 2:00 pm. Contributions in Aundrea’s memory can be made to the Centre for the Arts in New Roads, LA, in lieu of flowers.
