August 9, 1948 ~ May 21, 2024

Malcolm Roy Glover, age 75, passed away peacefully at his home with his loving wife of 55 years by his side, on May 21, 2024.  Malcolm was born on August 9, 1948, to Cortez and Minnie Irene Whitehead Glover in Denham Springs, Louisiana. He would grow up in the home in which he was born and was a lifelong resident of Denham Springs.

Malcolm graduated from Denham Springs High School where he excelled in track, football and basketball.  After high school Malcolm continued his education and earned a bachelor’s degree from Southeastern Louisiana University. His career led him to 30 years of service with Marley Cooling Towers.  His love for sports followed him into his adulthood, and until his last days you could find him watching some sort of game on TV.  While he rooted for many teams, he was certainly a fan of all things LSU.

Malcolm held many titles in his 75 years but those he was most proud of were husband, dad, pawpaw and great grandpa. He enjoyed fishing and hunting but spending time with his family is what made him the happiest.

Malcolm is survived by his wife Charlene Harris Glover, two sons Malcolm Dwayne Glover (Tricia Rouse Glover), Larry David Glover (Sunnie Gros Glover), four grandchildren Larsen Glover Gerage (Richard Connor Gerage), Zane Joseph Glover (Megan Mitchell Glover), Huntley Preston Glover, Weston Charles Glover, and one great granddaughter Camille Mae Gerage. Two sisters Norma Fletcher, Pat Sartwell (Jay Sartwell) and sister-in-law Connie Wilkinson Glover.

He was preceded in death by his parents Larry Cortez Glover, Sr. and Minnie Irene Whitehead Glover, his father-in-law Charles Wesley Harris and mother-in-law Johnnie Langley Harris, and brother Larry Cortez Glover, Jr.
