Leslie Virgil Webb, 92, recently of Baton Rouge, passed peacefully at home, April 9.
At the end of World War II, Virgil served briefly in the US Navy. Later, he served a few years in the US Army.
Born in a small town in Texas to Charlie Lee and Idabel Webb, he went on to live in Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Arizona, California and Hawaii.
In civilian life, he was a mechanic, inventor and family man.
He’ll be laid to rest in late May, at the Greenville Cemetery in Kennefick, Texas next to his late wife of 44 yrs.
Virgil is survived by two daughters – Terry Webb Head of Baton Rouge and Ann Webb Amrani of Scottsdale, Arizona..
Survived by eight grandchildren – Aubrey Head, Harmony Head, Salace Head, Nicholas Marino, Carissa Marino, Trice Head, Conan Head and Juliette Poland… And four great grandchildren.
Survived also by one sister, Ann Webb Greenwalt…and lots of nieces and nephews.
He’s preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Graham Webb.
Also, both his parents, two brothers and three sisters…who loved him dearly.

My condolences to his children and grandchildren, Virgil was my dad’s (Paul) brother, and he was one of a kind. I always enjoyed his visits and stories. He will be missed, prayers to all.

He was one of my favorite uncles he gave me inspiration in the arts of media technology he was always filming and up to date on new media 8mm film to 35 mm film to the digital media to modern times even early on with computers. i enjoyed his humor and sense of family he will be missed he is in a better place and he will be in are hearts forever. I pray for the survivors that they have comfort and peace i send love

My sweet beloved brother, I will miss you dearly and always!
Him being the oldest sibling, and me being the youngest, I was just a baby when he left home and I got to know him better when he started coming to see me in 2003-2010! I will cherish all the great memories of him and his sharing with me all he knew about our family! May he rest in peace and I will see him again One day! Love always, Ann!

He was loved and cared for well in his last years. I’ll miss him going on about the old days and showing us pictures and videos of people we may or may not have know. He had a great sense of humor and could talk to anyone. May he Rest in Peace. ❤️
